The Israel Police is raising its level of alert in preparation for the upcoming Succot holiday.
Thousands of police officers, border police, and Civil Guard volunteers will be dispersed throughout crowded areas countrywide.
Security will also be increased in areas where worshippers congregate, and in entertainment and recreation venues.
Police said there were no specific threats of terror attacks, but there were dozens of general threats that were being taken into account.
