Police say building contractor wasn't murdered; will release suspects

Police on Friday issued a statement to the effect that a Jerusalem contractor, who died Thursday in what was initially thought to have been a murder, actually died of natural causes. The police originally attributed the man's death to two suspects that fled the scene, allegedly after they had beaten him and left him to die. However, following an autopsy, the suspects' version, namely that during an argument with them the man felt unwell and subsequently collapsed, was corroborated. According to the autopsy, the bruises on the man's body were caused by the fall he sustained. The two will be released from custody.
