Protester detained for threatening to kill prime minister

A 35-year-old Israeli man demonstrating against the arrest of right-wing activists in the West Bank was detained for questioning at a small Jerusalem demonstration on Monday after shouting that he would assassinate the prime minister, police said.
"I am the next Yigal Amir, I will murder Ehud Olmert," the man shouted at the demonstration opposite Jerusalem police headquarters, referring to the assassin of the late prime minister Yitzhak Rabin, Jerusalem police spokesman Shmuel Ben-Ruby said.
The late-morning protest, which was attended by several dozen right wingers, ended peacefully.
