Ramon: Barak's policy has bitterly failed, should be discontinued

Vice Premier Haim Ramon stated that a ground operation is not necessary in order to strike Hamas.
In an interview with Israel Radio Sunday morning, he said that Israel has the military, economic and political means to bring an end to Hamas rule of the Gaza Strip.
Ramon added that Defense Minister Ehud Barak's policy has failed bitterly, and should be discontinued. He said that Prime Minister Ehud Olmert should convene the government and make a strategic decision to end Hamas rule of Gaza.
