Report: Violent attacks on the elderly increased 24% in 2007

Israel has seen a 24 percent increase in incidents of violence against the elderly over the past year, Army Radio reported Sunday.
Data presented by police at the weekly cabinet meeting showed that 1,978 elderly citizens had been attacked since the beginning of 2007.
