Police on Thursday arrested a 39-year-old Rishon Lezion resident who was suspected of check fraud.
According to the allegations, the man would steal checks from post boxes and deposit them in his own account.
He would also allegedly use the details on the checks he stole to order thousands more blank checks from the suppliers.
The man was believed to stolen nearly half a million shekels in this manner.
