Rocket attacks continued late Wednesday afternoon, with one hitting the yard of a house south of Ashkelon, causing light damage to the home and sending a woman into shock. The woman was taken to Barzilai Hospital for treatment.
Another rocket landed in a kibbutz field in the western Negev.
The latest attacks brought Wednesday's tally of rocket attacks to 15.
Earlier, a rocket landed near a school in Sderot.
Other rockets hit open areas in the western Negev. Nobody was wounded in any of the attacks but fires broke out in several fields.
Wednesday's near-miss at the school was the second time in two days that such an incident occurred. On Monday, a Kassam rocket slammed into a schoolyard in the city. No one was wounded in that attack.
Despite talk of a cease-fire between Israel, Hamas, and the other Palestinian factions, the western Negev has seen no relief from the continued Kassam rocket barrages. On Tuesday, at least 16 rockets hit the area, with one causing serious damage to a house in Sderot.
