Sandstorm from Sahara to arrive in Israel Sunday

A sandstorm from the Sahara Desert that hit most parts of Cyprus and southern Greece, was due to reach Israel overnight, the meteorological reported. By the time the storm reached here it would be of lower intensity than when it struck the Mediterranean island, sending at least 15 people to hospital and disrupting three flights. Cypriot police said visibility in many areas was poor, with the Paphos district on the western coast being the most affected area. Hundreds of flights were cancelled in Athens.
