Security prisoners not allowed to watch World Cup

Two days after suspending all family visitation privileges for Palestinian security prisoners currently being held in Israel, Prison Service representative Chief Warden Yaakov Ganot decided on Tuesday not to allow the prisoners to watch the World Cup. Ganot's move came in response to the prisoners' shouts of joy upon hearing Sunday that IDF Cpl. Gilad Shalit had been kidnapped by Palestinian operatives in an attack on IDF soldiers near Kerem Shalom.
