Senate ratifies law preventing US from funding PLC

A US law ratified Friday evening by the Senate prevents the United States from providing aid to the Hamas-led Palestinian Legislative Cabinet (PLC).
The law stipulated that a Hamas-led government could receive aid only if Hamas recognized Israel, acted against the terrorist infrastructure and enacted economic reforms within the Palestinian Authority.
The law, however, would allow the US to provide aid to the PA on the condition that the funding be directed towards humanitarian needs.
