In another incident resulting from the ongoing tension between Palestinian farmers and settlers, security forces were scrambled on Saturday afternoon to fields south of Hebron to disperse a group of settlers who allegedly attempted to prevent the Palestinians from working their land. The farmers, from two villages south of Hebron, had gone out to plow and sow, accompanied by several dozen volunteers from the Kibbutz Movement. Their work was interrupted by settlers from Maon Farm, who reportedly attempted to throw themselves in front of the tractors, Israel Radio reported. Security forces and police were called in and ordered the settlers to leave, after which the farmers finished their work.
