After three-and-a-half months that former prime minister Arial Sharon has been hospitalized with a stroke at Hadassah-University Medical Center, his physicians stated that they believed his initial treatment with the blood-thinner Klexan was a mistake, Channel 2 revealed on Thursday.
Sharon was first hospitalized on December 19 with what was defined as a mild stroke. He was treated with a blood thinner, but was then hospitalized again three weeks later with a much more severe stroke. He never woke up from the coma that was induced upon his entry to the hospital.
At first, several medical experts criticized the choice of treatment, but Sharon's physicians emphatically supported their decisions.
