Two Palestinians attacked a military policeman on Sunday evening near Kalkilya as he conducted a routine inspection at a West Bank checkpoint.
One of the attackers was armed with an ax.
Soldiers stationed nearby overpowered the Palestinians and took them to police for interrogation.
No one was wounded in the attack.
