SSTO head, education minister and Finance Ministry official begin meeting

Secondary School Teachers Organization head Ran Erez was meeting Sunday night with Education Minister Yuli Tamir, Finance Ministry Director-General Yarom Ariav, Finance Ministry Wage Director Eli Cohen and Histadrut head Ofer Eini to discuss Eini's proposed solution to the education crisis. At the beginning of the meeting, Ariav said, "we are meeting to discuss the draft that Eini proposed, it's important that all salary raises that are to be given to the teachers will be in return for additional education for the students. I hope that now that the rally has passed, we can sit down for serious negotiations that will bring the teachers back to the schools and the students to the classrooms."
