Steinitz: Hamas participation will increase terror

Chairman of the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee Yuval Steinitz said Saturday that Hamas participation in the Palestinian Authority parliamentary elections would lead to an increase in terrorism.
According to Steinitz, if Hamas were to gain power in the Gaza Strip and begin building up its forces, Israel would have "failed" in its efforts to fight against the group, Army Radio reported.
