TA student union head arrested in protests

Hundreds of students protested Wednesday outside the offices of the Open University in North Tel Aviv where the Shochat Committee was convening. Police arrested three of the students including Tel Aviv University student union head Boaz Toporovsky, when they were caught breaking down the fence at the offices demanding that the Shochat Committee disband and they meet immediately with Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, student union spokesperson Dafna Cohen told . Meanwhile, the students were marching down Einstein street near Tel Aviv University in order to block the Namir road in protest.
