Talks between right-wing parties on the subject of forming a right-wing bloc in the Knesset were in their infancy Wednesday morning, after both the Likud and the NU-NRP list performed worse than expected in the elections.
Sources in the NU-NRP joint party told Army Radio that they had begun talks with Likud officials on a possible alliance between the two parties. However, they were still waiting from a response from Binyamin Netanyahu, head of the Likud.
The sources also noted that soldiers' and evacuees' votes hadn't yet been counted, and expressed hope that those votes might give them another mandate or two in the Knesset.
