Ex-minister Salah Tarif announced Thursday that he would not step foot into the Knesset until a court decides whether the crimes for which he was convicted constitute moral turpitude.
Tarif, the first Druse to serve as a minister, is supposed to be sworn into the Knesset on Monday to replace Amram Mitzna, who recently resigned.
If the court does decide that Tarif's conviction for bribery involves moral turpitude, he will not be allowed to enter the Knesset. Sofia Landver would take on the position instead.
