A cab driver was found dead in his car outside Kfar Hahoresh, west of Nazareth, early on Monday. Police say the man was murdered. The victim has been named as 54-year-old Yafim Weinstein, of Nazareth Illit. Passersby noticed the body and taxi on the side of Route 75, and called the emergency services. Amakim police officers arrived on the scene and sealed off the area. Soon after the discovery of the body, police obtained a wide-ranging court ordered media ban prohibiting the publication of details of the investigation or photographs from the murder scene. The investigation is being led by the Central Unit of the Amakim District Police. "It was clear from the murder scene that the victim was murdered," a police spokesman told the Jerusalem Post. "All directions are being checked." Weinstein's colleagues said he worked at his cab station for the past ten years. The deceased leaves behind a wife, children, and a grandchild. The murder marks the second homicide of a cab driver in the North in the space of two weeks. Hamza Hamza, 48, of Bet Jan, was found murdered in Ma'alot a week-and-a-half ago. Police have so far not indicated that the two incidents are related.
