Teenager drowns in Kinneret; 60-year-old tourist rescued from Dead Sea

Teams of lifeguards with assistance from divers were able to locate and recover the body of a 19-year-old who had drowned in one of Lake Kinneret's beaches on Wednesday.
Emergency personnel searched for the teenager for several hours after his friend reported that he had gone into the water and appeared to drown.
In another incident on Wednesday, an Italian tourist, aged 60, nearly drowned near Kalya beach at the Dead Sea. MDA teams accompanied by an IDF helicopter evacuated him to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem. The police have opened an investigation.
