Tel Aviv shopkeeper suspected of attacking 78-year-old man

A 23-year-old shopkeeper was arrested in Tel Aviv on suspicion of attacking a 78-year-old man, police said Monday. The alleged incident occurred when the 78-year-old bought a beverage from one of the stores in the Hatikva Market area and then entered the suspect's shop. The shopkeeper, a Jerusalem resident, demanded that the customer pay for the drink, but he refused, saying he had bought it elsewhere. A fight then broke out between the two and the suspect allegedly threw the elderly man to the ground and kicked him. The suspect claimed the elderly man had cursed him and his family.
