The Aksa Martyrs' Brigades reportedly took responsibility for a failed terror attack on Friday afternoon.
The planned attack was foiled when the bomb the terrorists were planning on using was detonated in a premature explosion in a riverbed between the communities of Neveh Daniel and Sdeh Bo'az in Gush Etzion on Friday afternoon.
No one was hurt in the explosion.
Area residents reported hearing the explosion at approximately 4:10 p.m. on Friday, leading police to begin searches in the riverbed.
Police sappers found remnants of the explosive device that indicated that the explosion was a "work accident" which occurred during the planning of the terror attack.
Sappers were investigating the remnants of the device, and police have sealed off the area in order to search for additional devices.
According to unconfirmed media reports, two Arab men were seen fleeing from the scene but were later caught by security forces. According to another report, a cellular phone was found lying on the ground near the explosion.
The IDF's OC Central Command and Hebron Police deployed forces to the area.
