A Tirat Hacarmel man allegedly stabbed his wife to death in her apartment on Saturday night.
The woman was critically wounded by the stabbing and died after resuscitation efforts failed.
The couple, in their 30s, was in the midst of a divorce.
The man reportedly arrived at the apartment in order to take his belongings and then attacked his wife in full view of the couple's three children, aged five to ten.
He tried to escape the scene but was apprehended by police.
