Compensation will be given to tourism and agricultural businesses that have been affected by the conflict in the north. The deal regarding compensation for farmers was finalized during meetings between the minister of finance and the minister of agriculture. According to the deal, farmers on the confrontation line will be reimbursed 100 percent on the basis of production costs, (labor, irrigation, crop dusting, etc.). Remaining communities situated more than nine kilometers from the confrontation line will be reimbursed by 60%. The sum of compensation for tourism-based businesses is presently unclear.
