Two Palestinian fugitives were killed and seven arrested in the northern West Bank town of Nablus in the course of IDF anti-terror operations early Monday. One of the dead, Ahmad Abu-Sharraf, was a senior Aksa Brigades operative from the Balata refugee camp outside Nablus.
Security forces also arrested the Islamic Jihad regional commander in the city, Ahmad Marsud, who was responsible for last month's terror attack in Neve Sha'anan in Tel Aviv that wounded 30 Israelis.

No IDF troops were wounded in the fighting in Nablus.
Monday's operations mark the second day in a row in which IDF forces have been arresting terror operatives in Nablus.
Meanwhile, IDF forces fired artillery rounds at Kassam launching sites in the northern Gaza Strip on Monday morning.
The attack came in response to five Kassam rockets that landed in the western Negev early Monday. No one was wounded and no damage was reported.
