The son of the American military attache to Jordan was evacuated to an Israeli hospital after he drowned in a swimming pool in Aqaba on Wednesday afternoon. He is currently in critical condition.
The 9-year-old boy was brought through the Arava border crossing to Israel, where he was taken to treatment in Josephthal Hospital in Eilat.
