W. Bank: Police uncover fake egg stamping scheme

Police officers working Sunday in the Samarian village of Kafr Haras uncovered a new underground Palestinian industry - fake egg documentations. Police revealed that Palestinians had been preparing eggs for distribution in Israel by stamping them with assorted forged markings. The false labels included stamps asserting stringent kashrut certification. Upon discovering this cottage industry, police seized thousands of suspicious eggs. Two suspects were detained in the scheme and were interrogated by local police Sunday afternoon.
