A woman in her 30s burst in to Belinson Hospital in Petah Tikva on Monday afternoon and committed suicide by setting herself on fire.
She walked into one of the buildings on the hospital campus carrying a large bag full of flammable material, pouring the contents over herself before setting herself alight.
Medical staff failed to resuscitate the woman and a doctor on the scene pronounced her dead.
Police had yet to identify the woman and were investigating the circumstances of the incident.
