A 30-year-old woman from Holon was arrested by the police on Tuesday on suspicion of illegally raising someone else's child for the last 8 years.
The child was allegedly given to the suspect by a foreign worker who gave birth at Wolfson Hospital in Holon, assuming the 30-year-old's name in order for the baby to be registered legally as the suspect's child.
"We are dealing with illegal adoption and fraud in addition to the falsification of documents", said the Ayalon region investigations officer, Deputy Commander Yitzhak Gatnio.
