Yaakov Alperon gets 1.5-yr sentence, NIS 20,000 fine for knife possession

The Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court on Wednesday gave Yaakov Alperon a one-and-a-half year suspended sentence and a NIS 20,000 fine for possessing a knife.
Alperon was convicted of holding a knife during a fight between members of his underworld mob and the rival gang of Amir Mulner in a Tel Aviv restaurant in March 2006.
