Ya'alon: Pullout decision-making should be probed

Former chief of general staff Lt.-Gen. (ret.) Moshe Ya'alon asserted on Thursday that the decision-making process leading to the disengagement must be investigated. He said that he did not believe that some of the people who decided on certain moves did not believe in the pullout as a correct strategy, Army Radio reported. Ya'alon was credited before the disengagement as saying that the pullout would encourage the terrorists. His term as chief of general staff was not extended at the end of a three-year period and he was replaced in that capacity by Chief of General Staff Lt.-Gen. Dan Halutz a few months before the pullout.
