Ra'anana rated most efficient city for second year

The rankings are determined by a local authority's ability to provide a high level of services using the minimum possible resources.

Ra'anana has been ranked the most efficient city in Israel for the second year in a row, reports www.local.co.il. The rankings, by the BDI (Business Data Israel) business information group, measure a local authority's ability to provide a high level of services using the minimum possible resources. BDI also ranked Ra'anana among the top 10 cities in Israel for stability. According to the report, the efficiency rankings consider the number of residents compared with the number of municipal employees, the budget per resident, the level of service, the municipal budget's surplus or deficit, and the municipality's attitude toward tax and fee collection. Information is obtained from the municipal comptroller.
