A University of Haifa students' protest against examinations being held on the morning of Holocaust Remembrance Day has brought about the desired result, reports Yediot Haifa. The university has agreed to delay the exams until 12 noon after students protested that if they were held as planned, the 10 a.m. memorial siren would sound during the examinations.
A students' union representative said he was happy the university had agreed to the request, and he hoped that other campuses in Israel would do the same. Holocaust Remembrance Day falls on Thursday, May 1.
