'Al Watan': Europe will stop Hariri probe if Syria cuts terror ties

European countries, led by France, are willing to stop the probe into the 2005 assassination of former Lebanese prime minister Rafik Hariri in exchange for Syria cutting its ties with Iran, Hizbullah and Hamas, Al Watan reported Sunday. The Qatari newspaper also said that the US and Europe had offered Syria significant economic incentives to cut its ties with extremist groups. Later Sunday, two French representatives are due to arrive in Damascus to discuss resuming Syrian relations, which were frozen due to Syria's involvement in Lebanon.
