The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation has distributed a total of 33.5 million meals throughout its more than three weeks of operations in Gaza, it said on Thursday, including 3 million meals that day alone.

“The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation continued its operations today to provide vital food aid for the Palestinian people in Gaza,” the report said.

The organization has distributed a total of 33,450,142 meals. It says this amounts to 572,640 boxes. The group added that, on Thursday, all “aid distribution at all sites proceeded without incident... Despite operating in one of the most volatile and complex environments in the world, our dedicated team on the ground continues to deliver life-saving aid to the people of Gaza – safely, efficiently, and without incident.”

It also says it welcomes collaboration with partners. “It is our hope that the United Nations and other organizations will join us in this shared mission to feed the people of Gaza. Until then, we remain unwavering in our commitment, delivering food to men, women, and children every single day.”

Pushing back against misinformation and inaccurate coverage

The GHF also continues to push back on misinformation and inaccurate coverage that it says has taken place. It says there have been continued false reports about “violent incidents that did not occur near our sites but occurred at United Nations convoy sites.”

The group says that the false information is spread by the Hamas-run Gaza Health Ministry, and it has been reported by Al Jazeera and spread by the UN. “It is unfortunate that both organizations, especially the UN, continue to push false information regarding our operations.”

According to the GHF, it continues to distribute aid at three sites in Gaza. One of them is in Wadi Gaza in the central Netzarim Corridor. It also distributed aid in Khan Yunis, a site it calls SDS3, and it also distributed aid at SDS2, which is in the Saudi neighborhood in southern Gaza.

A week ago, the group said it had distributed 2.6 million meals in a day and that 19 million meals had been distributed in total. At the time, the group said that at its SDS1 site in Tel Sultan, it had “distributed 30 truckloads of food today, totaling 28,800 boxes providing approximately 1,663,200 meals.” It also distributed aid at the SDS2 and SDS4 sites.

On June 6, the GHF said it had distributed a total of 9 million meals. It said back then that it had distributed 471,240 meals in a day at two sites. The distribution began back on May 26.

The success of the distribution in Gaza has been overshadowed by the Israel-Iran war, which began on June 13. Nevertheless, the GHF has continued its impressive work distributing masses of food to Gaza. It continues to be able to keep at least three sites open most days. Reports in Gaza continue to say that Gazans have been harmed trying to get food, but the GHF has always disputed these reports.
