Baghdad suicide attack kills US soldier, four Iraqis

The US military says an American soldier and four Iraqi civilians have been killed in a suicide bombing north of Baghdad. Military spokesman Lt. Col. Steve Stover said the suicide bomber struck US-Iraqi forces Sunday as they were responding to a roadside bomb that wounded an Iraqi in Tarmiyah. He said two US soldiers and an interpreter also were among 24 people who were wounded. The military blamed al-Qaida in Iraq for Sunday's attack.
