Egyptian police arrest would-be suicide bomber

Egyptian security forces arrested on Saturday a 17-year-old Egyptian boy who intended to execute a suicide attack in Israel. Abdel Rahman Majdi, from Alexandria, had left a letter for his parents and was heading for the Rafah crossing to the Gaza Strip, where he intended to find members of an armed Palestinian group. Majdi informed a taxi driver of his plans, and the driver contacted Egyptian authorities. Majdi was arrested in northern Sinai, and was being interrogated on Saturday afternoon, Israel Radio reported.
