Gaza: Tunisia recalls envoy to discuss situation

The Tunisian delegation based in Gaza city left Sunday for talks with its country's leadership on whether it will support the Gaza-based Hamas government, or the West Bank-based Fatah government, an official said. The delegation left the Gaza Strip through the Erez crossing, heading to Israel, said the official, The delegation will meet Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas in the West Bank town of Ramallah before leaving to Tunis, the official said, speaking on the condition of anonymity, citing diplomatic rules. Hamas seized control of Gaza last week after a series of bloody battles with Abbas' Fatah movement. In response, Abbas formed an emergency government in the West Bank.
