Hail in Lebanon detonates cluster bombs left over from 2006 war

A hailstorm on Tuesday afternoon caused hundreds of cluster bombs scattered throughout southern Lebanon to detonate, the Lebanese National News Agency said in a report cited by Reuters. The cluster bombs were fired into Lebanon by the IDF during the Second Lebanon War in 2006. Lebanon claims that close to 30 civilians have been killed and an additional 100 wounded by cluster bomb detonations since the end of the war.
