'Hamas politicians losing control of terrorists'

"The political wing of Hamas, specifically (Hamas-leader-in-exile) Khaled Mashaal and (Palestinian Authority Prime Minister) Ismail Haniyeh are looking for ways to restore calm, but their influence on the terror groups is waning," Israel Radio quoted a senior military official as saying on Tuesday. The official went on to say that Monday's deadly Kassam rocket attack on Sderot would raise the severity of Israeli strikes and estimated that, in the short term, an increase in targeted assassinations would reduce rocket attacks.
