'Hamas woman admits planning suicide attack on Palestinian police'

A female Hamas supporter has confessed to planning a suicide attack against Palestinian police, Palestinian security forces said Tuesday. The woman was arrested after a clash between police and Hamas gunmen in the West Bank last week. Officials said the woman was wounded in the fighting, and she confessed to the bomb plot while being treated. Jamal Hussein, governor of the West Bank city of Nablus, said Tuesday the woman had an explosive belt. But the officials said later it's unclear whether she had actually obtained the explosives. Hamas officials said three female loyalists were arrested, but that they knew nothing of a suicide plot.
