Iraqi officials: Bombs, grenades found in Sunni leader's office

Iraqi troops found bombs, grenades and other explosives Monday in the basement of the office of one of the country's most powerful Sunni Arab politicians, officials said.
The second raid in three days on Adnan al-Dulaimi's compound threatened to re-ignite a crisis that had taken on sectarian undertones after the hard-line Sunni leader accused the Shiite-led government of trying to silence him this weekend.
His daughter, legislator Asmaa al-Dulaimi, said a joint US-Iraqi force tried to enter the family's house in western Baghdad but was persuaded to leave by Dulaimi's wife. The daughter said Iraqi army troops have been inside her father's offices since Thursday.
The US military said it was looking into the report.
