Islamic Jihad said Wednesday it would not join a Hamas-led government and rejected the idea of a long-term truce with Israel.
Khaled al-Batch, a leader of the group, spoke in a news conference in Gaza City.
Islamic Jihad has carried out six suicide bombings against Israelis since an informal truce with Israel went into effect. The truce has been largely observed by Hamas.
