Hundreds of Muslim demonstrators gathered in Wadi Joz in East Jerusalem Thursday to protest the current construction work at the Mughrabi Gate site, near the Temple Mount, Israel Radio reported.
The protest was organized by the northern arm of the Islamic Movement. The group's leader, Sheikh Raed Salah, who has called for violence and jihad in response to the construction, spoke at the event.
