GENEVA — Palestinian human rights groups have condemned a UN resolution backed by their own government that delays action on a report alleging war crimes during last year's Gaza conflict.Maysa Zorob of the Palestinian group Al-Haq says the resolution passed Wednesday in the 47-nation UN Human Rights Council is a "betrayal of victim's rights" and "reflects a lack of genuine commitment to justice."RELATED:PMO: UN flotilla panel blamed Israel before probe beganUN panel criticizes Israel, Hamas over Gaza probesThe vote effectively freezes the so-called "Goldstone report" that called on Israel and Hamas to probe and prosecute alleged war crimes or face scrutiny by the International Criminal Court.Raji Sourani, director of the Palestinian Center for Human Rights in Gaza, said backing the resolution was a "grave mistake" by the Palestinian Authority led by Mahmoud Abbas.
