Protesters interrupt Blair's Beirut conference

Lebanese protesters briefly interrupted Monday a joint press conference by British Prime Minister Tony Blair and his Lebanese counterpart Fuad Saniora in Beirut. Several protesters, led by a woman, came in and walked up to Blair, carrying a banner, interrupting his opening statement. It was not immediately clear what the banner said. "It's OK, this is democracy," a calm Saniora said as the protesters were escorted away. Thousands of protesters had staged a demonstrator earlier, accusing Blair of supporting Israel.
