Report: Hamas officials claim group doesn't oppose Syria-Israel talks

Hamas does not oppose peace talks between Syria and Israel, and assesses that such talks will not affect the group's relations with Damascus, the London-based Arab daily A-Sharq al-Awsat reported on Sunday. Hamas parliament member Yehye Moussa reportedly told the paper that his group was aware of the constraints facing Arab regimes and will not interfere in their internal affairs. Another Hamas official, Ataf Adwan, was quoted as saying that Hamas supports the right to return Arab lands from Israel using all the necessary means, adding that diplomatic talks are a legitimate method to achieve this goal.
