Report: Imam questioned about Islamic Jihad ties

Israeli authorities who arrested the former imam of Ohio's largest mosque after he was deported have questioned him about the Islamic Jihad, his attorney said. Smadar Ben-Natan, an Israeli lawyer retained by Fawaz Damra's family, met with her client for the first time Wednesday, she said, according to The Plain Dealer, a newspaper in Cleveland. Ben-Natan said Israel was interested in any knowledge Damra may have of Islamic Jihad, which Israel and the US classify as a terrorist organization.
