A top Russian envoy arrived in Teheran to discuss the standoff over Iran's nuclear program including incentives to be offered as a reward if Iran suspends uranium enrichment.
The visit by the chief of Russia's Security Council, Ignor Ivanov late Saturday came ahead of a meeting of foreign ministers from six world powers slated next week to decide on a package of incentives for Iran to stop enriching uranium.
Ivanov will hold talks with Iran's top nuclear negotiator, Ali Larijani, and other top Iranian officials, state-run television reported Sunday.
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Kislyak was also part of the high-level delegation, the broadcast said.
