Saudi Arabia's foreign minister said Saturday that Israel must take into account its Arab neighbors' security if it wants peace in the Middle East.
Prince Saud al-Faisal made the comments as his country was trying to put together a summit of Arab leaders to push forward the peace process with Israel after a cease-fire halted Israel's month-long offensive against Hizbullah in Lebanon.
Israel does not "have the right to attack whatever state it wants.... Its security cannot be restored to the detriment of other states' security," al-Faisal told reporters at a press conference in Jeddah.
"If Israel is to live in the region, it has to live on a civilized basis," he said.
